Melissa Ann Ennis Henley, 50, of Rustburg, passed away on February 3, 2023 peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Lynchburg General Hospital.
She was born on July 16,1972 in Lynchburg. She was the daughter of Emily C. Covington and late Lawrence F. Ennis Sr.
Melissa was a devoted mother, daughter, nanny & friend. Melissa loved people and never met a stranger. She keep busy around the house and loved to clean and cook. She will be greatly missed by her family.
She is survived by her fiancé, Sherman Ridgeway of Rustburg; her daughter, Kristi Evans and husband Hunter of Rustburg: three brothers, Lawrence F. Ennis Jr. and his wife Vickie of South Carolina, John Edward Ennis and his wife Kristen of Madison Heights and Jason Patterson and his wife Leila of Fredericksburg; two grandchildren, Darla'Anne Evans and Kashton Evans both from Rustburg; five nieces and two nephews; two aunts, Brenda Burton of Monroe and Sheila Craig of Rustburg; a very special friend/daughter Ashley Johnson and her husband Kenneth and their children, Kenneth (Peanut), Khizer and Alexis all of Rustburg.
Visitation will be Wednesday February 8, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel and other times at her daughter's residence, 135 Kershaw Dr, Rustburg VA 24588.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Cardiac ICU at Lynchburg General Hospital.
