Melvin Wade Cash

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude S. Cash, his brothers Doris Cash, Robert Cash, James Cash, Theodore Cash, Stafford Cash and his sisters Louise Angus(Marion) and Francis Floyd.

He is survived by his brother Cleveland Cash (Shirley), His son, David W. Cash (Donna), his daughter, Carol Cash Burks (Howard) and grandchildren, Emma Burks (Elias Akkerman), Danielle Overstreet (John), Christopher Cash, Candace C. Phelps (Anthony), Ian A. Cash (Caitlin) and Anna Cash Tracy (Robert), his step-grandchildren...Angela Carwile (Scott), Tammy Miller (Michael McDaniel), Melissa Burks, George Burks (Samantha Robinson) and Timmy Burks. In addition, he is survived by 14 great grandchildren...Imogen, Piper, Bentley, Edan, Rayden, Amerisa, Arthas, Helena, Donovan, Rosie, Elijah, Phoebe, Lyla and Chloe

He attended Temperance School in Amherst. He was retired from Flavorich Dairy and Campbell Soup company. He was a charter member of Solid Rock Baptist Church and one of the first Trustees. He loved gardening, hunting and fishing, But most of all, spending time with his grand and great grandchildren

A family visitation will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 6pm to 8pm at Whitten Monelison Chapel in Madison Heights, Virginia and a Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at 11am at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 110 Church Street in Madison Heights. The service will be officiated by Pastor Dave Cash.
