We all talk about how my Uncle Melvin was the sweetest man alive. When u were around Uncle Melvin you knew you were loved. He had a special love for his sisters. My Mom Barbara and he were very close and they would have done anything for each other when they were able. I guess that carried over to me, his niece and my daughter. He just really loved being with us and we loved when he was with us. He even took me hunting once when i was real little and had no idea what i was doing but it didn't matter because I was with My Uncle Melvin and just being with him was fun and such a blessing. We sat on a rock overlooking the beautiful meadow view never seeing any deer(which I was secretly glad of) and he sliced up some radishes out of his pocket as we just sat and talked!! That is One of my favorite memories! He was always yhere looking out for me on my horse and later in our lives loved showing my daughter the farm the same way he did for me and showed her his cows and baby calves and differnt things about the farm...letting us help feed the cows too. We always knew he was there looking out for us whenever we were visiting and we loved being with him driving in his truck on the farm. We had Thanksgivimg every year together because it just wasn't Thanksgiving if Uncle Melvin wasn't there. This year won't be the same...all of our hearts are very broken and he will be so missed. I will miss everything about him and when we are visiting at the farm again soon our hearts will be warmed with all our memories seeing him everywhere on the farm. I loved my Uncle Melvin so! We all did! My Mom is going to miss one of her favorite people in the world, I know, and he will always be in her and all of our hearts forever and ever. We Love u so much Uncle Melvin!

We loved to know kind, fun Melvin.
He always enjoyed talking to you about
Living in the country, church, family, singing, and encouragement to all.

He and Connie were painting at
Mom's, I would play piano, all singing the old gospel songs. He came to
Mt. Horeb homecoming services.
Good times and forever friends.

We send our love and prayers.
