Michelle Lynne Kidd

Born on December 11, 1967, in Lynchburg, Virginia, she was the daughter of Sylvia M. Bradley and the late Andrew W. Bradley.

She worked at Amherst County High School, where she kept student records for 5 years until 2002, when she decided to stay home and dedicate her time to raising her children.

Michelle, a woman full of love and talent, was a Christian fiction author who used her faith as inspiration for her writing. She used her talents to successfully publish two books, titled Timeless Moments and Finding Frankie. Through her faith, Michelle would use everyday events and turn them into life lessons to learn from and grow as people in God’s eyes. With a talent for crafts as well, she would design memory quilts for people to remember loved ones who had passed on.

She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Monroe and was beloved by all who knew her. Michelle would show love and compassion to her church family and go out of her way to help those in need.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Mark A. Kidd; her two sons, Andrew Kidd and Matthew Kidd; her mother, Sylvia M. Bradley; and many friends who were blessed to know her.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Glynn Coleman, Pastor B.J Butler, and Pastor John Pickett officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Monroe, 139 Francis Avenue, Monroe, VA 24574.

Michelle will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital for their amazing work and around-the-clock care for both Michelle and her family during their stay.
