

Born May 17, 1937, in Amherst Co., he was a son of the late Forest Leonard Cash, and Edith Campbell Cash. He was also preceded in death by a brother, F. Ray Cash; and a sister, Helen C. Booth. Mr. Cash began Cash Bros. Real Estate, Inc., in 1963, with his brother, F. Ray Cash, and continued to work there until his death. He was a successful business man and civic leader for many years in the Amherst Co. community. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends, and family, watching NY Yankees baseball, and cattle farming on his farm.
Survivors also include two sons, Tony C. Cash and wife Nellwyn, and Troy A. Cash and wife Susan; a brother, James L. Cash and wife Faye, all of Madison Heights; five grandchildren, Kristen Cash, Lauren Cash-Campbell, and husband Adam, Carmen Cash, Hunter Cash, and Kenzie Cash; two great-grandchildren, Madelyn Elizabeth, and Colton Campbell, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday, July 18, 2012, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel, and at other times at the residence.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home; by the Rev. Carlton Dunn Sr. Interment will follow in Briarwood Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank 7 Hills Hospice; and DeDe Hitt, and Daisy Haynes for the special care given to Mr. Cash during his illness.
