Born on May 1, 1942 in Amherst County, she was the daughter of the late Haywood and Mittie Duff.
Mittie enjoyed country music, especially George Jones, and having a good time with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Kay Hartless and brothers, Haywood Raymond Duff, Abraham Lincoln Duff, General MacArthur Duff and Robert Johns.
She leaves to cherish her memory her companion of 33 years, Woodrow Jewell; brother, Nelson Duff and wife Lecy; sister, Deborah Hensley and husband David; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Whitten Monelison Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Whitten Monelison Chapel, with Pastor Cynthia Branham officiating. Interment will follow at the Duff Cemetery, Monroe.
