

Born November 5, 1936, in Amherst County, she was a daughter of the late Oscar Wade Campbell and Effie Wright Campbell. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Shreve was retired from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, after 20 years of service.
Survivors include six children, Deborah S. Estabrook and husband Robert, of Memphis, TN, Wanda S. Shifflet and husband Kenneth, of Hedgesville, WV, Vicky S. Trahan, of Silver Spring, MD, Kathy Shreve, of Gaithersburg, MD, Charles Shreve Jr. and wife Karen, of Youngsville, NC, and Bobbi S. Flores, of Wake Forest, NC; a brother, the Rev. Paul Campbell and wife Geneva, of Stephens City, VA; a sister, Shelby C. Long and husband Kenneth, of Lynchburg, 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends today, Sunday, February 5, 2012, from 3-5:00 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 6, 2012, at the funeral home by the Rev. Paul Campbell. Interment will follow in Amherst Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Panhandle, for the excellent care and support given to Mrs. Shreve and the family during her illness.
