Born in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Francis Charles Haas and Irene Wierzbowski Haas.
Nancy was an animal lover. She passionately supported animal rescue efforts and was a docent at the Buffalo Zoo for over 25 years. She always visited the zoo wherever she traveled. Her favorite place to visit was Thousand Islands New York and was affectionately known as Fancy Nancy by her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Gordon L. Crone; two daughters, Jill Frances and her husband Larry of Monroe, VA and Amy Killian and her husband Don of Frederick, MD; one sister, Ellen Haas; one brother Charles Haas; and two grandchildren, Simon Frances and Esther Frances.
Private services will be conducted at a later date.
