Norman Blair Tucker

Norman Blair Tucker, age 60, of Amherst, husband of Teresa C. Tucker, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at his home. He was born in Lynchburg on January 9, 1961, son of the late Asa D. Tucker, Jr. and the late Cecile C. Tucker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Karl Tucker. Norman spent 19 years at Ramsey Cabinets before going to work at Glad Manufacturing. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races and loved listening to rock music, even up until his final days. In his younger days, he was quite fond of motorcycles and playing basketball. In addition to his wife Teresa, he is survived by his children Kelsey Williams (Jonathon) and Brenna Tucker (Billy). He discovered prior to his passing that he had a grandchild on the way. He is also survived by his siblings Amanda Ramsey (Gary), Marcus Tucker, Karen Tucker and a sister-in-law, Freida Tucker. He was also known as “Papa” to two furry granddogs, Kota and Zoey. A graveside service will be conducted at Tucker Family Cemetery, 212 Stonewall Creek Rd in Amherst, VA at 2:00pm on Saturday, September 11, 2021.
