Patricia Lynn Heerspink

Born in Holland, Michigan, on September 19, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Charles Stegenga and Frieda Stygstra Stegenga. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Rev. David E. Heerspink and five siblings.

Pat is survived by her devoted daughter, Ronda L. Heerspink; her brother, Philip Stegenga and his wife, Jo; and a number of cherished nieces and nephews.

Pat enjoyed a successful career as an Executive Administrative Assistant with Genworth and later Nationwide Insurance before her retirement. She was known for her exceptional organizational skills, dedication, and professionalism. Following retirement, she faithfully supported her husband in his ministry at Thomas Road Baptist Church, where together they served the Lord and encouraged countless lives through their unwavering faith.

Pat will be remembered for her gentle spirit, steadfast devotion to her family, and deep love for the Lord. Her quiet strength, servant's heart, and faithful example were a blessing to all who knew her.

A graveside service celebrating Pat's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Allwood Cemetery in Amherst, with Pastor Jonathan Falwell officiating.
