Paul Gilbert Forrest

Paul Gilbert Forrest, 77, Lynchburg passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020 in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Judith Hensley Forrest. Born October 20, 1942 in Greene County, NC he was a son of the late Sam Lee Forrest and Annie Dorris Gilbert Forrest. He was a retired Evangelist and a member of Temple Baptist Church. Paul also served in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Forrest; and a sister, Brenda Gray. In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Angela Forrest of Gulf Breeze, FL and Melissa Tomlin of Goode; a brother, Jimmy Forrest of New Bern, NC; three grandchildren, Ashley Pope-Key and her husband Michael of Madison Heights, Chris Forrest and his wife Danielle of Evington, and Tyler Forrest of Gulf Breeze, FL; four great grandchildren, Lucas, Natalie, Ivori Rose, and Michael Lloyd. A funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 PM at Temple Baptist Church with Pastor John Kinsey officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
