Paula Starks Wilson was born May 12, 1946 in Toledo, Ohio, the oldest child of Carl and Dorothea Starks. Her siblings were Susan [Terry Hayes], Jerry, Gail, Nancy [Paul Sattler] and Tom Starks [Kathi]. She lived in south Toledo in the “family” neighborhood and attended Walbridge Grade School and Libbey High School as did her mother. She grew up in the Christian Fellowship Church at Monroe and 14th st in Toledo. She loved her father’s farm near Springport, Michigan and from age 5 spent many happy hours driving his Allis Chalmers tractor.
She graduated from Sylvania High School, attended Albion College and graduated from NMSU.
In 1968 she married Robert Duane Wilson and spent 9 years working as an Audiologist with the mentally handicapped. They lived in Virginia from many years. In 2004 they moved to La Luz and lived there for 7 years.
In 1980 she became the mother of Tirian and in 1983 Linea was born. For all of her life, she was proud of her children and their accomplishments. They were her greatest blessing. She and her children had a wonderful bond of Christian love and they cared for each other as the years went by.
She died June 2, 2018. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Temple Baptist Church, Madison Heights, VA. Burial will be in the family plot in Riverside Cemetery, Maumee, Ohio.
