Born in Lynchburg, Virginia, on November 23, 1926, Pearl spent her early years and much of her adult life there before moving to Fairfax, Virginia, in the 1970s. She made Fairfax her home for more than 40 years, developing lasting friendships and close relationships with her neighbors.
In 2022, she returned to Lynchburg to reside in assisted living and be closer to family.
Throughout her life, Pearl was a woman of strong faith, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. Independent and hardworking, she lived modestly and was very frugal. Her generosity toward family reflected the deep love and loyalty she felt for them.
Pearl began her working years in banking and later worked in real estate and as a legal secretary. Following retirement, she spent many years providing daytime childcare for numerous families. She continued this work into her 80s, becoming a beloved and trusted presence in the lives of the children and families she cared for.
A woman of deep Christian faith, Pearl found strength and comfort in her belief in God. Warm, loving, and kind, she valued her friendships and the close relationships she maintained throughout her life. She will be remembered for her kindness, determination, devotion to family, and the love she shared with those closest to her.
