Phyllis Arthur Arthur Floyd

Born October 25, 1935 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Randolph Scott and Winnie Gottchall Arthur. Mrs. Floyd was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Floyd is survived by her children, Toya Floyd Hewett and Troy F. Floyd, both of Madison Heights; two grandchildren, Aaron Hewett and his wife, Shanda of Farmville and Travis F. Floyd of Elon; five great-grandchildren, Brittney, Brianna, Kayla, Colby, and Blaine and lifelong friends, Barbara and Joe Ramsey of Madison Heights.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2012 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Porter and the Rev. Charles Stinson officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-3 p.m.
