Phyllis Clark Williams

She was born on June 4, 1942 in Lynchburg, daughter of the late Aubrey Hewitt Clark and Mary Noel Clark.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Preston Clark.

Phyllis worked for Sids Drive In for a number of years. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church for over thirty years and loved to travel and visit other churches as well. In addition to her travels she loved to listen to gospel music and spend time with friends and family.

Survivors include her daughters, Sharon W. Gunter of Wingina, Sheila Carlile and husband Larry of Lexington, NC, Tina Austin and husband Tyrone of Lynchburg and Wendy Hatley and husband Earl also of Lynchburg; a sister, Barbara Neighbors and husband Bonnie of Lynchburg as well as ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by a close family friend, Deborah Holcomb.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 7th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 411 Blue Ridge Street, Lynchburg, VA. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm, Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Gethsemane Baptist Church with Pastor Carlton Duck officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.
