

Born April 17, 1938, in Amherst, he was the son of the late Alfred and Virginia Johns Branham. He was also preceded in death by a son, William Branham; and a sister, Joanne Staubtiz.
He was retired from Monroe Wood Yard, and was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
Survivors also include 7 children, Percy Johns and wife Patricia, Wilby Branham and wife Deborah, Regina Miller, Janet Chittum and husband Donnie, Mickel Branham and wife Deborah, Annie May, and Curtis Branham; 3 sisters, Jean Ann, Mamie, and Eleanor Branham, 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, and nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel, and at other times at the residence.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at the funeral home, by the Rev. Alley and Sharon Bryant. Interment will follow in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Cemetery.
