Obituary of Priscilla C. Clark
On the evening of July 16, 2013, God sent His heavenly Angels down to guide our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Sister-In-Law and friend to her heavenly home, where many of her late loved ones awaited her return with open arms. Priscilla was born October 7, 1935 on Irish Creek in Rockbridge County. The oldest daughter to her loving parents, the late William Marion and Lutie Thomas Clark. It was there she grew up with her loving sisters, Mary, Junia, Phyllis and older brother, the late Nicodemus Clark. She was first married to the late Rev. Andrew H. (Bo) Branham and then to the late William (Jack) Clark. She leaves behind many loved ones to forever cherish her memory, her two sons and daughters in law, David L. and Kathy Clark of Madison Heights, Dwain A. and Margaret Branham of Lynchburg, a step-daughter, Gail Branham of Thaxton; Three sisters, Mary Clark of Lexington, Junia Clark and Phyllis Clark Napier both of Raphine; three grandchildren, Amber S. Branham of Concord, Nicholas A. Clark of Amherst and Shawn D. (Nicodemus) Branham of Lynchburg; two step-grandchildren, Robert (Bobby) Kirby and wife Christy, Chrystal A. Defibaugh and husband Vincent and five step great grandchildren all of Bedford. She is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews other family and friends including devoted friends, Mrs. Louise Branham of Amherst and Kathy Collins of Madison Heights and her pastor, Rev. Gary L. Moore and his wife Sheryl of Madison Heights and a host of sisters and brothers at New Beginnings Tabernacle in Madison Heights and her very special kitty, 25 year old “Boots”. Priscilla retired from the Central Virginia Training Center in October 1997, where she worked for 29 years as a custodial supervisor. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013 in the Irish Creek Community Cemetery in Rockbridge County with the Rev. Gary L. Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013 at Whitten Monelison Chapel, 3966 S. Amherst Hwy., Madison Heights, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Priscilla’s memory to the New Beginnings Tabernacle, 1886 S. Coolwell Rd., Madison Heights, VA 24572. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the loving and caring staff of the Skilled Care Unit at Virginia Baptist Hospital for the great care they gave Mom in her last week of her life here on earth.
