He was born in Lynchburg on October 25, 1957, son of the late Ethel Mae Angus Gowen and Gene Autry Bryant.
Survivors include his loving wife, Jennifer Mays Bryant; daughter, Corinne Ellis Bryant; and stepfather, Garland Lee Gowen. His grandpup, Petunia, also survives him.
Ray enjoyed spending time on the farm, spending time with his family, and reading scripture.
Services for Ray will be held privately for close family.
