Raymond Earl Wade Jr.

Raymond Earl Wade, Jr., age 58, of Winter Park, FL formerly of Amherst, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at his home.

He was born in Lynchburg on May 2, 1963, son of Lillie P. Wade and the late Raymond E. Wade, Sr.

Raymond was retired from the United States Marines. He loved to travel, spend time with his family, go bike riding and fishing with his brothers. He was an avid poker player having competed in numerous tournaments.

In addition to his mother, Lillie, he is survived by his fiancée, Atoosa Vaziri; 3 children, Lillie Maffei, Lyla Wade and Thomas Wade; a sister, Donna Tomlin (Donald Burks); 2 brothers, Clayton Wade (Amy) and Steven Wade (Rachael); a nephew, Scott Tomlin; 3 nieces, Tanya Wade, Gabby Wade and Meagan Wade as well as 2 step children, Dorsa Vaziri and Parsa Vaziri.

There will be an open time for friends and family to pay their respects from 9-5 Sunday, June 6, 2021 at Whitten Monelison Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, June 7, 2021 at Pugh Family Cemetery in Amherst County with military honors being rendered by the United States Marines.
