Rita Donnelly Normington

Rita was known for her deep devotion to her family, especially her grandchildren and great grand children. Rita dedicated her retirement years to serving through her cherished Catholic faith. She spent many years serving the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Our Lady of Knock Division. Rita loved Irish dancing in her later years.

In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Wright Normington, her infant son, James Joseph, her siblings, Michael Donnelly, Kevin Donnelly, Margaret Donnelly, Marita Reilly and her grandson-in-law, Brandon Salvia.

Those left to cherish Rita’s memory include her son John A. Normington and his wife, Mary. Her daughter Susan E. McCafferty and her husband, Ronald, her grandchildren Sarah McCafferty Quarles and her husband Collin, Mary Kate Salvia, Jack McCafferty, Andreas (Drew) Angiolelli, Liam Normington, her great grandchildren, Damon and Atticus Salvia, her devoted niece Amanda Marita Babiarz, her brothers James Donnelly and his wife, Kathy, Joseph Donnelly and his wife, Ronnie.

A memorial service is being planned for Rita in her beloved hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Details will follow at a later time.
