
Born August 8, 1936, in Charlottesville, he was a son of the late Lewis David Harlow Sr. and Eva Mae Busby Harlow. He was also preceded in death by his son, Robert Marion Harlow Jr.; and three brothers, James (Jim), William (Bill), and Gary Harlow.
Mr Harlow served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of The Church of Christ and was retired from Leaseway Trucking Co.
Survivors also include two daughters, Penny Harlow and husband Anthony, of TN, and Tina Harlow, of Amherst; three brothers, Eddie Harlow and wife Jean, of Salem, Gene Harlow and wife “Mickey”, of CO, and Louis “Sug” Harlow Jr. and wife Joyce, of Roanoke; five sisters, Elizabeth “Libby” Sprouse and husband Terry, of Troutville, Joyce Ann Jenkins and husband Robert, of Roanoke, Dorothy Briggs and husband Hal, of Wirtz, Jeanette Stump and husband Dallas, of Roanoke, Mary Jane Griggs and husband Tom, of Rocky Mount; three grandchildren, Nashwa Bolling, of CO, Megan Nicole Harlow, and Jacob Marion Harlow, of Madison Heights, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at Whitten Monelison Chapel, and at other times at the residence of Tina Harlow.
A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, at Whitten Monelison Chapel, conducted by minister, Lee Cannon.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, in Roanoke.
Memorial contributions may be made to Centra Hospice.
