
Born March 13, 1945, in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Clara Gallier Brooks. He was retired from Rock-Tenn Company.
Survivors include three children, Anita Drinkard, Chip Brooks, and Tanya Campbell and husband Scott, all of Madison Heights; his brother, Danny Brooks and wife Debbie, of Madison Heights; seven grandchildren, Andy, Megan, and Lee Drinkard, Candice and Casey Brooks, Christian and Cole Campbell, other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank Mr. Brooks’ nurse, Tiffany Scott, for the care given to him during his illness.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7-8:30 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 13, 2011, in the Presbyterian Cemetery, by the Rev. David Heerspink. Military honors will be rendered by American Legion Post 16.
