Obituary of Ronald Gregory Komoroski
Ronald Gregory Komoroski, 78, of Lynchburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 10, 2024, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Pensacola, FL, on April 4, 1946, Ronald was the beloved son of the late Edwin Komoroski and Mary Hritz Komoroski. He dedicated many years of his life to working at B & W, where he forged lasting friendships and made valuable contributions. Ronald had a zest for life and a passion for motorcycles. He was a proud member of the Moto Guzzi Italian Motorcycle Club and embarked on countless adventures, exploring the open road and taking in the beauty of the country he loved. Ronald dedicated himself to the Moto Guzzi Italian Motorcycle Club, where he held the esteemed position of State Representative, with his wife Alice, since 1992. His unwavering commitment to the club's values and mission was evident in every aspect of his involvement. Beyond his role as a representative, Ronald found profound joy in the exhilarating experience of riding motorcycles and the sense of liberation it provided. However, Ronald's love for motorcycles was more than enjoyment; it manifested in his skilled craftsmanship and dedication to the art of restoration. He possessed a remarkable talent for breathing new life into old bikes, painstakingly rebuilding them from the ground up. Each project was a labor of love, a testament to his meticulous attention to detail and unwavering passion for the craft. His contributions, both on and off the road, have left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he may no longer be among us, his spirit will forever live on in the roar of engines and the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts. Ronald was preceded in death by two sisters, Janet Geruschat and Marlane Dunegan Those left to cherish Ronalds memory include his devoted wife, Alice S. Komoroski, his three sons, Matthew Komoroski and Douglas Komoroski of Amherst, and Paul Komoroski of Lynchburg, as well as his step-children, Roger Johns, Jr. (Gina) of Elon, and Sharon Felipe (Ruben) of Lynchburg; four brothers, Walter Komoroski (Judy), Vert Komoroski (Joan), Edwin Komoroski (Leam), and Robert Komoroski (Sue); two sisters, Valerie Komoroski (Pat O’Neil) and Theresa Daniels (Jed); five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends.
