Ruby Hughes Dalton

Born March 29, 1927 in Madison Heights, she was the daughter of the late Willie Andrew “Sweetie” Hughes and the late Maude Cyrus Hughes and was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. She was retired from Craddock & Terry Shoe Corp. and was a member of Northside Baptist Church for forty-nine years.

Mrs. Dalton is survived by two sons, Kenneth Dalton of Madison Heights and James Dalton and wife Patsy of Forest; one brother, Emmett Hughes and wife Frances of Madison Heights; three grandchildren, Mark Anthony Dalton, Sr., Jennifer Lynn Campbell and husband R.J., and Jeannie Dalton; four great-grandchildren, Army Specialist Mark Anthony Dalton, Jr., Blake Andrew Dalton, Jared Campbell, and Jade Campbell and one step-grandson, Dallas Gray.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Northside Baptist Church with Pastor Jacob Uthup officiating. Interment will follow at Meade Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at the church and other times at the residence.
