Ruth Elizabeth Campbell

Ruth Elizabeth Campbell, 78, of Madison Heights, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at her residence. She was the loving wife of the late Russell Elwood Campbell.

Born on September 1, 1942 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Perkins and the late Gladys DeLong Perkins. Ruth was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Lee Brooks; son-in-law, Mark Stump; sister, Barbara Perkins; and brother, Robert Lee Perkins, Jr.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Diane Stump; son, Russell “Rusty” Campbell, Jr. and wife Rebecca; six grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Karen Royal, Arlene Perkins, James Perkins and wife Debbie, George Perkins and wife Jenna, John Perkins, Shirley Kelly and husband Jack, and Gerrie Hensley.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Centra Hospice for their compassionate care of Ruth during her illness.

In accordance with Ruth’s wishes, there will be no formal services at this time.
