He was born in Lynchburg on December 2, 2000.
Sam was a very intelligent young man who loved to read and play video games. He loved to build and create things, as well as learn how they worked. He also loved to be outdoors. He was an amazing person who was devoted to his family, friends, and girlfriend. He will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
Survivors include his mother, Michelle Pruitt; grandparents, Bob and Pat Pruitt; 2 uncles, Mike Pruitt and Marc Pruitt and his wife Jess and; cousins, Tyler Torrance, Addison Pruitt, and Emma Pruitt. He is also survived by numerous relatives in Maryland, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
Due to the current restrictions on gatherings, there will be no formal visitation, however the funeral home will be open from 9 – 5 Thursday for the public to pay their respects and sign the register. Please note that the funeral home staff will assist in maintaining the 10 person at a time and social distancing guidelines. A private graveside service will be held at Amherst cemetery with Pastor Barbara Towler officiating. There will be a public memorial service at Whitten Monelison Chapel at a later date.
