Born January 8, 1947, in Norfolk, Virginia, Sandra lived a life filled with love, kindness, and devotion to her family and friends. She was known for her caring heart and the love she shared with those around her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Pugh; her parents, David and June Hall; her brother, Barry Hall; and her sister, Cheryl Bonfanti.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristie Marino, and son-in-law, Kirk Marino; her cherished grandchildren, Spenser Marino and Sydney Marino; her sister, Rebecca Moore; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members throughout the Hall and Pugh families.
Sandra and Don shared a loving marriage that began shortly after high school and endured for 40 years. They were rarely apart, and she was faithfully by his side throughout their life together. The two enjoyed traveling to Daytona, spending time at Natural Bridge Speedway, cheering on their favorite racers, and making memories with friends and family in Pigeon Forge.
After Don's passing, Sandra found joy in traveling with her dear friends, Gladys, Ryland, and "sister" Sandra. These trips provided cherished memories, laughter, and companionship during the years that followed. She was an active and devoted member of Victory Baptist Church, where her faith provided strength, comfort, and fellowship throughout her life. In recent months, she moved to North Carolina to spend time with her daughter and grandchildren. The time they shared together created treasured memories that will be cherished forever.
In her quieter moments, Sandra loved watching crime shows and Hallmark movies. Above all, she treasured time spent with family and friends. Her warmth, loyalty, and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A celebration of life will be held Monday, June 29, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Jeff Worley officiating.
The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and welcomes all visitors at that time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Sandra Pugh to the Council on Aging in Union County, 1401 Skyway Drive, Monroe, NC 28110, whose services provided support and assistance during her later years.
