Shireen Rowe Allen

Shireen Rowe Allen, 63 of Massies Mill, passed away May 24, 2011, at her home with her family by her side. She is survived by her partner, Kathy Gerber.

Born September 6, 1947, in Biloxi, MS, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Sonia Rowe. She was employed by Blue Ridge Tile Co., in Charlottesville.

She is also survived by two daughters, Cathy Coday, and Anne Smith and husband Russ, both of Richmond; her brother, Mark Rowe and wife Carrol, of Wilmington, DE; grandson, Wyatt Smith; niece and nephew, Meredith and Tyler Rowe, and other relatives and many friends.

The family will receive friends today from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel.

A graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Agudath Sholom Beth Joseph Cemetery, by Rabbi Yossi Zylberberg.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Hospice of the Piedmont 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
