Teresa Wieringo Humphries

Teresa Wieringo Humphries, 67, of Madison Heights passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Leroy Elton Humphries. Born January 20, 1955, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Edward Howard Wieringo and the late Lillian Spencer Wieringo Higginbotham. She was also the stepdaughter of the late James Robert Higginbotham. In addition to her husband, parents and stepfather, Teresa was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Milum and Barbara Murphy; and one grandchild, Little One Tyree. Teresa is survived by her two daughters, Stephanie Humphries and her wife, Christy Bernard of Madison Heights and Amy Tyree and her husband Otis of Madison Heights; one brother, Eddie Wieringo of Lynchburg; one brother-in-law, Kirk Murphy of Lynchburg; one granddaughter, Allie Jane Tyree; and numerous nephews, nieces and other loving family members and friends. A graveside service will be conducted 12:00 noon, Monday, September 26, 2022, at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Steve Tyree officiating. All are welcomed to attend the service.
