Teresa Lynn Smith Moore, 58, of Arrington passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021, at the UVA Traditional Care Hospital. She was the wife of Jeffrey Layne Moore. Born December 7, 1962, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of Ruby Bane Smith and the late Ronald Gaylord Smith.

Teresa was a teacher for the Buckingham and Nelson County School Systems, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Waynesboro.

In addition to her father, Teresa was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Moore, Jr.

In addition to her husband and mother, Teresa is survived by two sons, Matthew Moore of Arrington and Robert Byrum of Lynchburg; one sister Kimberly Krohn and her husband Jeffrey of Morehead City, NC; one granddaughter, Dalila Byrum of California; and other loving family members and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at Whitten Monelison Chapel. Interment will follow at Amherst Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
