

Born in Amherst, August 22, 1940, he was the son of the late Theodore W. Jennings, Sr. and Viola Mawyer Jennings. He was the retired owner and operator of Hudson Payne Electronics with 35 years of service. Ted also enjoyed farming and farmed all of his life. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church. He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law and a doting grandfather to his granddaughters whom he adored.
One brother, Robert Stanley Jennings preceded him in death.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Angela J. Stratton and her husband Alvin of Roseland; one son, Brian W. Jennings and his wife Stephanie of Amherst; two brothers, Billy Jennings and wife Sadie and David Jennings all of Amherst; two sisters, Ann Maddox of Amherst and Faye Fulton and husband Bobby of Concord; two granddaughters, Taylor Layne Jennings and Emily Brooke Jennings and four grand dogs.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with military honors by the American Legion Post 16.
The family will receive friends following the service until 4:30.
