Virginia Eloise Bowling

Virginia Eloise Bowling, 73, of Amherst Virginia died on Saturday, October 27, 2018 in Lynchburg after struggling several years with multiple system atrophy. She was born on March 12, 1945 to Aubrey and Ottie (Campbell) Bowling. Eloise was a College of Regents at Women of the Moose Chapter 1415 at 1727 Moose Lodge Lynchburg, VA. She was a graduate from Central Virginia Community College and retired after 33 years as a Senior Buyer for the city of Lynchburg. She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend and enjoyed sharing stories about and with her many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Eloise was a racing enthusiast and also loved music and dancing. She brought joy and love to many with her infectious laugh and unwavering dedication. Eloise is survived by her longtime friend and companion, Donnie Maddox; niece, Christie Falkner and husband Jimmy; nephew, Keith Bowling; and many great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Franklin D Bowling; niece, Sheryl Fitten; and nephew, Mark Bowling. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 pm on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Whitten Monelison Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Whitten Monelison Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to Gentle Shepherd Hospice or Moose Heart.
