Born February 23, 1960 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Edward Ray and Mary Tyree Watts. She was a retired self-employed housekeeper and a member of Union Christian Church.
Wanda Kay is survived by her daughter, Renee K. Tyree and husband Scott of Concord;
two brothers, Edward R. Watts, Jr. and wife Dawn and Kenneth W. Watts and wife Phyliss, all of Madison Heights; three grandchildren, Amanda Wilson, Faith Wilson, and Donald Tyree. Wanda Kay is also survived by her “honey” of sixteen years, Chester Smith of Madison Heights
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Carl Weiser officiating. Interment will follow at the Union Christian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the funeral home.
