William Rogers Bryant

Born January 19, 1934 in Nelson County, he was the son of the late James Strode “Bunny” and Mary Fitzgerald “Ida” Bryant and was also preceded in death by one brother, James Hope Bryant and a sister, Ann B. Davis. He was retired from Unimin Corp. of Spruce Pines, NC and was a U.S. Army veteran.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Bryant is survived by two sisters, Minnie Fitzgerald of Afton and Loraine Fittery of Gladstone; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Bryant of Roseland and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 2, 2014 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Michael Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery in Amherst County.

The family will receive friends Monday at the funeral home, for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. and other times at the residence.
