Born in Lynchburg on December 29, 1964 he was a son of William Rhodes, Sr. and the late Gloria Rhodes. He was a maintenance worker at the Red Roof Inn. W.D. was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Chelsey Rhodes Davis (Steven); two stepdaughters, Jeri Dudley (Justin) and Teri Lepper (Trevor); a sister, Lynette R. Cyrus (Gene); and four grandchildren, Kristopher Kirby, Jackson Dudley, Taylar Lepper, and Tatum Lepper.
