She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Mary Alice Raikes; eleven siblings; a son, Bobby Morcom and a great grandson, Camden Sullenger.
Billie was married to the love of her life, Woody, for seventy years. They traveled and served their country for twenty years, while Woody was in the Air Force. Woody and Billie returned to Madison Heights, where Billie enjoyed spending time with family and camping with friends. Billie was a woman of faith who treasured her church family and was currently a member of Union Christian Church in Madison Heights.
Billie leaves behind her husband, Wood L. Morcom, Jr.; daughter, Sandra Morcom Davis Nichols (Tim); sister, Jean Wood; daughter-in-law, Edna Morcom and brother-in-law, Ronnie Morcom (Betty). She also leaves three grandchildren: Chris Davis (Teresa), Brianne Sullenger (Ben), and Lauren Harrell (Chris) and step grandson, Brad Nichols (Allison); five great grandchildren: Skyler, Claire, Colson, Alexis and Carson.
Billie’s service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 25, 2018 at Whitten Monelison Chapel conducted by her Pastor, Jim Freeman and Pastor Dwayne Carson with interment to follow at Meade Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
