

Entered into rest, Sunday, October 11, 2015, Arnold was born in Spring Hill, WV, on April 22, 1938 to the late Dennis and Virlie Douglas. Arnold graduated St. Albans High School, Class of 56. Arnold worked in the nylon and gleem areas of DuPont Plant, Belle, retiring as a Millwright and Shift supervisor with 31 years of service. Arnold is survived by his wife of 32 years, Judy Berkhouse Douglas, He was a loyal West Virginia University fan and loved to play golf. His neighbors and friends in Malden will miss his front porch gatherings, where he would amaze everyone with his ability to recall names, teams and dates of every sport. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no memorial service. Arnold wished to be an organ donor and his body cremated. A short prayer service was held at his bedside by his friend, Pastor David Bowen. His wife wishes to acknowledge the many friends and neighbors in Malden that have been such great help and comfort to them through Arnold’s illness. His wife would also like to thank the staff of Hubbard House for the excellent care he received during his last days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Curtis Price Way, Charleston, WV 25311.
