

Arnold was born in Laurel Fork, West Virginia. He worked many jobs over the years, including driving for Rite Aid, working as a lumberjack, and working for many different coal mines before retiring from Cedar Coal.
One of Arnold’s biggest passions was traveling with the Laborer’s Quartet driving their bus to their various gospel singing engagements. He was also a school bus driver for a couple of local private schools. Some of his favorite pastimes included listening to live gospel music, seeing his family and friends, and eating at different restaurants. He was a member of Eastwind Church.
Arnold is preceded in death by his children, Wade and Frank; and his siblings, Bertha, Myrtle, Dora, Marie, Junior, and Arlie.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Johnson, who loved him deeply; his children, Diane, Teresa, and Dawn; his grandchildren, Adam (Kimberly), Tony, Angela (Tracy), Kayley, and Sheridan (Ryan), who was like a daughter to him; his great-grandchildren, Lacie, Mackenzie, Matthew, Lexton, Landon, Braylen, Nathaniel, Jacob, and Anthony; his siblings, Herb (Amanda), Bob, Charles (Debbie), Clarence, Faye, and Susie (Ronald); his brother-in-law, Lloyd, his sister-in-law, Sharon, and his sister-in-law, Donna; his stepdaughter, Ramonda, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
There will be a memorial visitation for family and friends held on Friday, November 3rd, 2023 from 6-8pm at Stevens and Grass Funeral Home in Malden, WV.
The family would also like to extend a thank you to the staff of Thomas Memorial hospital, especially his nurse Rylie, for their help.
