

Arnold was born in Charleston on December 5, 1942. He graduated from DuPont High School in 1961. He served in the US Army and was a welder by trade. He lived in North Carolina for 30 years until he moved home in 2007.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jean Young, of 51 years; his children, David Young, Lisa Samples and Angela Curley; his 10 grandchildren, Kelsey, Christina, Krystle, Micki, Ashley, Derrick, Shelby, Brittany, Tyler and Krista; seven great-grandchildren, Christian, Mackenzie, Hunter, Alexandra, Gabriel, Luke and Samuel. Also by his brother and sisters, Anita, Velma, Larry, Lyda, and Sharon of the Young family.
He was loved very much by his loving wife, family, and all who knew him.
The funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2014, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with the Rev. Edward Jarrett officiating. The burial will be held at 4:00 PM following the service in the Peterson Cemetery in Weston, West Virginia.
A visitation with family and friends will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
