Barb, Linnie, Sandy and family,

I just heard of your mothers passing and it broke my heart. However, we know where she is and it's a much better place.

You each are to be commended for your faithfulness, until the very end, for taking care of your mother. I will forever be grateful for getting to know each of you girls, while visiting at the Oak Ridge Center with our parents. You each gave so much to her and also to the other residents at the center. You all were loved and will be truly missed.

With deepest sympathy,

Joy & Rev. Dayton Lockard

I am recalling many fond memories of times spent with the Jenkinses, especially of Betty at Valley Grove Church of the Nazarene. I know she and Mom are having a big reunion of their own right now!

I remember whistling the melody to Amazing Grace with her at the Stepp Reunion (her sister Nora Katherine Martin Stepp) the year before her stroke. She was so happy and joyful...
Dad (Danny Stepp) broke his hip and spent a week or so in Charleston General with her while she was rehabbing from her stroke.
Praying to our Great God for Comfort during this time of family loss... May her life of Joy in Jesus Christ be a witness to all she touched, of the MORE important life yet to come...

My precious Miss Betty, I shall always cherish our times together at Oak Ridge on the weekends. You taught me so much and I will always love you. You were not only my resident, my friend, but you were a mother to me, also. Miss Betty, I'll see you in Heaven, I have no doubts about that. To her wonderful children, it was such an honor meeting each one of you! My love and prayers are with you all. I will always treasure the laughs we shared and I will alway remember each one of you. Love, Prayers, & Hugs, Mary Kennedy (Weekend activity asst./Oak Ridge Center)
