Brandon Lee Means, 29, of Charleston, was taken away from us way too early by a hit and run driver, Tuesday, November 13, 2018. Brandon graduated from Riverside High School and attended Carver Career Technical Center for Auto Collison Repair. Brandon had a kind, loving and generous heart, always lending a helping hand with a smile. He loved animals, children, the elderly and most of all his family and singing with his mother. He also enjoyed fishing and driving his truck in the mountains. We had an angel who did not get his wings until Tuesday. We mourn the loss but truly believe it is nothing compared to the celebration of loved ones that went before him and welcomed him home. Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Grant Bledsoe, Tony and Mozella Carson, and Ralph Means Sr. Left behind to cherish his memories, mother, Sherry E. Hobbs; father, Ralph L. Means; sister, Shannon Cochran (Ramon Bennett); half-sisters, Crystal Means Walker and Nastacha Caudill, of Charleston; nieces, Emma Cochran and Haliegh Walker; nephew, Solomon Bennett; aunt, Vicky Snodgrass; and fur babies, Diamond and Tinkerbell; . The funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2018, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with Pastor Mike Long officiating. The burial will follow the service a Montgomery Memorial Park, London. A visitation with family and friends will be Sunday, November 18, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

I knew Brandon for several years and the thing I remember the most was his docile, fun loving energy. A guy who loved to laugh and spend time with his friends, he was always kind in a not-so-kind world. I'm very saddened by the news of his passing. He was a great guy to be around.

Brandon was one of the good ones. Only knew him a short time but enjoyed his presence and the smiles he had. One young man who loved his mom. Also one very sweet and pretty lady. They had a bond like I had with my mom. He will be so missed. Prayers for you Sherry and all the family. Keep the faith GOD will get u thru this.
