Bub was born in Charleston on December 24, 1942, to the late Noel and Elizabeth Drake Hendricks. She was a retired manager with Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Chris Allen Higginbotham of San Antonio, Texas.
Bub is survived by her daughters, Rebecca “Becky” Higginbotham of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Renee Martin of Charleston; sisters, Frances Pearman of Florida and Barbara Jane Hedrick of Bancroft; grandchildren, Michael Clawson of Irving, Texas and Joshua Martin of Charleston; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Spring Hill Cemetery, Charleston, with HR Whittington officiating. There will be no visitation.
