Delores Ann Deweese Graley

Delores was born in Hernshaw, WV on July 1, 1934, to the late Lomer and Lillian Payne Kirk. She was a graduate of Washington District High School and a long-time employee of WV Housing and Charleston Area Medical Center from which she retired. She was a member of Emmons Freewill Baptist Church.

Delores was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Deweese and 2nd husband Kyle T. Graley; grandson, Adam N. Ferrell; and son-in-law, David C. Workman; brothers, Sidney, Lewis, Charles “Corky” and Norvell “Jap” Kirk; sisters, Mary “Jeanette” Pauley, Norma J. Samms and Kathleen “Susie” Kirk.

She is survived by her daughters, Diana L. Shirkey of South Charleston, Christy R. Shaw of Chesapeake, Trudy A. Workman of Hurricane, Lori K. (Orbie) Lucas of Chelyan and Heather N. (Scot) Casdorph of South Charleston. Eight grandchildren and Thirteen great-grandchildren.

A visitation with family and friends will be held at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, WV on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Mervin Smith officiating. Burial to follow at Kirk Family Cemetery, Hernshaw.
