I was introduced to Ferlin thru my Family. Although Ferlin and I never met, I considered him a great guy and Friend. Thru others his life was expressed to me. His caring and expression of Love for his Family and Community was well heard. Ferlin was the person you spoke to if you wanted an update on my Hometown of Marmet. Of course there was his opinion on politics.Ferlin and I were on different sides on this subject. But I couldn't win ! (lol) I spoke to Ferlin on several occasions on the phone at my Families home in Hershaw when he visited. I actually was looking forward to meeting Ferlin when I came into WV next visit. I rejoice knowing him and I am comforted that one day I will still have that meeting! God Bless Ferlin and God Bless the Family !

Ferlin was my morning paper guy at little general in hernshaw. We shared many conversations everyday while I worked midnight's. He knew many of my family members and enlightened me of stories I wouldn't of known. He was a great man and my friend. I will truly miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with his loving wife and family.

Connie and family, I am so sorry for your loss, I have so many memories of Ferlin growing up, I told him he was my brother from another mother. The last time we talked, we talked and laughed about just a few of them. My thoughts and prayers are that God would send His Ministering Angels to comfort you at this time. My mom is having surgery Monday, so if I am not there, I will be praying for and thinking of you all. RIP my friend, and fly with the Angels.
