

He was born in Charleston on September 3, 1939, to the late Lewis B. and Virginia “Jenny” Clay Morris.
Ferd was a diesel mechanic and a U. S. Army veteran.
Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by brother, Kenny Morris.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Louise Litton Morris; son, Bill (Michelle) Morris of Stanley, North Carolina; daughter, Teresa Griffith of Campbells Creek; brother, Raymond Donald “Lou” Morris of Campbells Creek; sister, Barbara (Robert) Cruickshank of South Charleston; grandchildren, David Wesley Livingston, Shelby Morris, and Cameron and Paige Griffith; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2016, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with the Rev. David Livingston Jr. officiating. The burial will follow the service at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Family and friends will gather for the visitation on Thursday, November 3, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
