Gregory Rush

He was preceded in death by his son, Brian G. Rush; parents, Mary and John Rush; sister, Sally Hudnall; and brother, Bobby Rush.

He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Meredith L. Rush; daughter, Mandy L. Rush; grandsons, Xander Fish (Joz) and Andon Rush (Liz); great-grandsons, Zeplyn and Declan Rush; extended family; and a host of friends who loved and respected him.

Greg joined the Marine Corp in April 1973 and married the love of his life before going to Boot Camp. The motto “Once a Marine, always a Marine” applied to Greg. He loved serving his country. He served 6 years as a Marine, 2 years in the Army Reserves and retired from the Army Corp of Engineers after 16 years.

A burial with Military Honors will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar.
