Henry "Bugs" Myers

Bugs loved his family dearly, especially his mother. He was witty, kind and tenderhearted and would do anything for those in need. With a large family and many friends, he loved them all.

He was a graduate of Charleston High School. His passions included hunting, fishing, and front porch sitting. Some will remember him from GoMart on Greenbrier and Kroger’s in Kanawha City. Bugs will forever live in our hearts with sweet memories, and we will miss him every day.

Bugs was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Slater and father, Robert Slater; and sister, Jackie Epling.

Bugs is survived by, John Boy Myers, Shorty Dorsey, Ruthie Fort, Dottie Myers, Kathy Teets, Teresa Harrison, Barbara Slater and multiple nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday July 12, 2025, at Bethany Baptist Church, 1512 Greenbrier St. Charleston, WV 25311 with Pastor Rodney Smith officiating.

A visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.
