Ida was born at Plymouth, West Virginia (Putnam County) on September 15, 1947, to the late Harlan and Mamie Shamblin Smith. She was retired from BB&T with over 20 years of service and a very active member of the Cornerstone Community Church where she served many roles.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, James Arthur and Franklin Arthur; and sister, Jewell (James) Siders.
Ida is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Tracy Campbell) Huddleston of Charleston; brothers, Joe (Judy) Smith of Poca and John (Tina) Smith of Cross Lanes; sister-in-law, Wanda Arthur of Charleston; great- grandson, Jaxson Steele of Charleston; several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and
-nephews; and also her special little puppy, Sissy.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m.Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Cornerstone Community Church on Georges Creek Drive with Pastor John Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at Schowen Cemetery, Bancroft.
A visitation with family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the Church.
