JJ was born in Charleston on July 30, 1979, to Juanita Fields Brown and the late Eugene Brown.
Along with his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Kalijah Sutherland.
JJ is survived by his daughters, Tiara (Dakotah) Booth of Glenwood, West Virginia and Madison Brown of Huntington; mother, Juanita Fields Brown of Huntington; sister, Misty Spaulding of Teays Valley; brothers, William Scott (Lora Maynard) Brown of Winterville, North Carolina and Robert (Ann Cook) Brown of Taylorsville, Utah; grandchildren, Kodi and Braelynn Booth and Aziah Allen.
Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden with Perry Brown officiating. The Committal Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., following the service at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington.
A visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.
