

Jimmy was the son of the late Glenville L. "Bill" and Gloria G. Hoover High. He was also preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Jimmy was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School and was self-employed as a plumber. His favorites "hobbies" was hunting, especially deer and duck, fishing, eating Spanish Peanuts and enjoying life with his family and friends.
Survived by his sons, James L. Jr. and Adam Matthew High, both of South Charleston; adored grandson, Joshua L. High; loving companion, Angie Jarrell; her children; and grandchildren, who he was so very fond of, Briar, Sadie, Braxton and Gracelynn; sisters, Vickie Forwood of Malden and Neda (Bill) Jones of Zebulon, North Carolina; little brother, Joe (Candy) High; his beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews; his spoiled 4-leg babies, Henry and Shadow; best buddies, Scottie and Jamie; his Gresham family; and friends which are many.
The family would like to invite everyone to celebrate Jimmy's life on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden.
